Job Description
Key Responsibilities: - Maintain electrical and automated equipment, such as motors, switches, switchboards, electrical mechanisms, and stamping presses.
- May push buttons and press keys on robot controller, teach pendant and programmable controller to program automated machinery such as robots.
- Complete PM work orders of equipment to manufacturer’s recommendations or PM guide and provide feedback on activities and changes to improve the service of equipment
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronics of PLC’s would be a preferred asset
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and record in SAP
- Install and maintain equipment to satisfy all corporate and technical standards
- Use robotic systems to program, troubleshoot, etc.
- Actively participates in the development and achievement of team quality goals and objectives, continuous improvement ideas and projects, and environmental objectives and targets.
Ideal Qualifications: - Possess a current Provincial Electrician License – 442A Industrial Electrician.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, robotics, pneumatics, and stamping and/or automation an asset.
- Experienced in a fast paced manufacturing/industrial environment, preference will be given to those with automotive manufacturing experience
- Show maturity, good judgment, reliability, verbal and written communication skills
- Background in troubleshooting PLC’s and computer controlled equipment
