Industrial Painter

• Clean work
  area
  
• Organize
  and maintain inventory
  
• Check
  proper thickness of plating using micrometers, callipers or other devices
  
• Clean and
  maintain equipment
  
• Operate and
  control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot -dip metal plating
  equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged
  parts
  
• Paint small
  items and apply touch -ups using paint brushes
  
• Prepare and
  apply stencils, decals or other decorative items on finished products
  
• Prepare and
  mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
  
• Select
  appropriate paint or mix paints
  
• Tend
  automatic metal coating machines which convey objects through a series of
  cleaning, rinsing and plating solutions
  
• Tend or
  operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative
  coatings
  
• Tend or
  operate equipment to spray or coat
  
  

Requirements

• No degree,
  certificate or diploma required.
  
• 5 years of
  more of work experience.
  
• Must be
  able to communicate in English.
  
• Must be
  willing to travel and work onsite.
  
• Must
  be able to work in outdoors, confined spaces, dusty, hot, and noisy
  environments.
  
• Must be able to work
  in various locations, be willing to relocate, and understand that relocation
  costs are not covered by the employer, including industrial and manufacturing
  environments.
  
• Must be able to
  perform work in fast -paced environment, repetitive tasks, physically demanding,
  manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand -eye coordination, sitting, and
  standing for extended periods.
  
• Must have weight
  handling ability of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  
• Must have personal
  suitability including client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent
  oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility,
  organizational skills, and being a team player.
