Job Title: Infusion Nurse (RN) Location: Kamloops, BC Schedule: Casual Hourly Rate of Pay: $43.00 - $47.00
Carecor is looking for a Specialty Pharma Nurse (RN) to deliver and monitor specialized pharmacological treatments in home and clinic settings. In this role, you will administer injectable or oral therapies, monitor patients for infusion-related reactions, and ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting. You’ll maintain clear communication with the Specialty Nursing team to support patient safety and satisfaction. Specialized pharmacological training will be provided.
Reporting to the Specialty Pharma Supervisor and/or Nurse Manager, delivers and monitors specialized infusion, injectable or oral pharmacological treatments in the home and/or clinic setting. The infusion nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient for infusion related reactions (intervening as required), accurately documenting the procedure, and submitting reporting in a timely manner.
The position is casual in nature as the nurse will provide their availability and manage their patient portfolio. We will work with you to assemble a working schedule that fits your lifestyle. Specialty Pharma Nursing is a one-on-one patient experience, and we strive to ensure that patients stay with the same nurse infusion to infusion to ensure the best quality of care.

Job Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited nursing education program with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or equivalent
Current registration and in good standing with provincial nursing regulatory body
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required for clinic role.
Chemotherapy – Biotherapy education an asset
ACLS: Required within 3 months of hire; current ACLS at time of hire is considered an asset (preferred).
Chemotherapy – Biotherapy course completion is an asset
Experience in a Critical Care (ER or ICU) infusion clinic, or oncology experience is preferred
Experience in administering specialty pharmaceuticals using peripheral IV initiation skills and central lines
Experience with home care is an asset
Valid driver’s license
Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire.
