In-home caregiver – private home – JaTs… family

Terms of employment: This job is for a full-time position (between 32 and 40 hours per week). Flexible hours are required. English or French. Job start date is October 1, 2024

Salary- Wage offered is between Quebec minimum wage currently at $17.00 per hour. Future wage adjustments will be made when the First Quartile wage rate change for this field of work in Quebec.

Location- Mrs. JaTs… lives in the city of Montreal, in the province of Quebec. The home is situated in a residential neighbourhood, school and parks are nearby. The city bus is easily accessible and is close by (bus #vendome metro stop). The major intersection is Sherbrooke St West and Grey Ave.

Duties may include:

1- This job is to help with the care of two children – aged 10 years and 8 years old.

2- The 8-year-old child is developmentally and physically delayed

3- Supervision of children when parents are not at home

4- Plan, prepare and serve meals for children. Kitchen clean-up is also required

5- General housework that will include doing laundry and ironing

6- Dusting rooms to ensure a clean and dust-free environment

7- Assisting with exercises and therapy for the child with special-need

Qualifications:

1- Must have completed at minimum Canadian equivalent of secondary school education.

2- Must have at least one year of work-related experience as a caregiver.

3- Must be dependable, hardworking, independent, and able to manage the job without supervision.

4- Experience with children with special-needs is an asset
