Job Description - Inside Sales Representative

POSITION TYPE:                     Full-Time, Permanent


START DATE:                          ASAP


EXPECTED WORK HOURS:    8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday


SCHEDULE:                             5 days/week in office


LOCATION:                              Mississauga, ON



JOB OVERVIEW:       


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotes, managing complex quotation tasks, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the quoting process. As a member of the quoting team, you will serve as a key resource for quoting accuracy, margin analysis, and quoting system integrity.


 


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:



  • Prepare detailed and competitive quotes in response to field technician and customer inquiries.

  • Ensure all quotes meet company standards for accuracy, pricing, and formatting.

  • Analyze profitability margins on quotes and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Track quote revenue and success rates; contribute to quoting performance reports.

  • Maintain and update cost support databases and quotation systems for accuracy.

  • Resolve pricing discrepancies related to quotes, customer orders, and invoices.

  • Purchase required materials or products once quotes are approved by customers.

  • Identify trends or inconsistencies in the quoting process and suggest improvements.

  • Manage a high volume of quoting requests while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Minimum of 3 years of quoting experience required.

  • 3–5 years of experience in the chiller and cooling tower industry.

  • Proven track record in a quoting or estimating role.

  • Strong knowledge of quoting processes and best practices.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple quotes simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in pricing accuracy and margin analysis.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience with performance management.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
