This role sits within a high-performing business development team focused on driving growth across the small business customer segment in the logistics and transportation industry. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping customers navigate shipping solutions and identify the most effective services for their needs. The position blends outbound prospecting with relationship management, offering a strong balance of acquisition and retention responsibilities. You will engage with diverse clients, build long-term partnerships, and contribute directly to revenue growth. Accountabilities:
- Drive new business acquisition by prospecting and identifying potential small business customers, while actively expanding market share within the assigned territory.
- Manage and grow existing client relationships by responding to inquiries, ensuring satisfaction, and identifying upsell opportunities to increase revenue.
- Develop and deliver tailored value propositions that address customer logistics needs and position appropriate service solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams through regular meetings and training sessions to align on strategy, performance, and customer engagement approaches.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support informed sales strategies and improve customer positioning.
Requirements:
This role requires a strong foundation in B2B sales, ideally within logistics, transportation, or a related service industry, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Candidates should be comfortable working in a target-driven environment and managing both acquisition and retention activities.
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or related industries
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is required due to client interactions across regions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and customer relationship management abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours in a structured full-time schedule
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willingness to use a personal vehicle for business activities
- Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset
