Inside Technical Sales Representative

Our client is searching for an Inside Sales Representative to join their team. This role will be responsible for positioning prospects and qualify new sales leads, work inside sales opportunities through the technical sales process, assist members of the outside sales team to meet current customers’ needs and hand off leads as appropriate. A successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of detail, strong work ethic and passion in their sales activity.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Demonstrate awareness of company, branch, and territory targets and strategies
  • Identify and relay customer opportunities, issues and concerns
  • Respond to inbound leads, qualify those leads, and move them through the sales process
  • Build customer relationships
  • Execute quotation follow-up as well as maintaining and updating the sales quotation log in the CRM software
  • Be responsible for being familiar with product availability, use, application, benefits, and pricing structures
  • Follow product/supply checklists for each customer’s job, identify sales opportunities, and sell additional products and supplies
  • Coordinate communication and activities with the Outside Sales Team
  • Close sales and achieve sales goals
  • Provide support to the Outside Sales Teams by maintaining and expanding the database of prospects
  • Gather appropriate process information from the client
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of all relevant products and applications
  • Pricing within company guidelines
  • Provide timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
  • Discover and develop solutions to customer problems and requirements by learning and understanding current products.
  • Your strengths include:
  • 5+ years of customer service and inside sales in mechanical and industrial fields
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical
  • Superior interpersonal skills with a high degree of organization
  • Willingness to grow and improve upon previous technical knowledge
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management, decision making, resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Proven ability to successfully multi-task with shifting priorities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional phone presence and excellent communication skills
