Instructor - Virtualized Infrastructure

Academic Services is focused on supporting SAIT’s schools and departments in their pursuit of SAIT’s strategic priorities. The Opportunity

SAIT is seeking an instructor for CPNT 216 – Virtualized Infrastructure. Reporting to the Academic Chair, this position requires specific knowledge and teaching skills related to:

1. Data integration into business operations

2. Storage system architecture

3. Intelligent storage systems

4. Hosted direct-attached storage (DAS) solutions

5. Network attached storage (NAS) solutions

6. Implementation of storage area network (SAN) solutions

7. Virtualization in the IT sector

8. Management of VMware cSphere environment

9. Management of virtual networks

• Create a positive learning environment.
• Ensure relevant content exists and grades are maintained in the learning management system (LMS)
• Ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Use available resources, tools, techniques, and strategies, to ensure student success.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Prepare lesson plans to ensure classroom success.
• Provide support, guidance, and advice to students.
• Demonstrate competencies in leadership, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, and time management.
• Respond to student requests in a timely manner.
• Attend meetings as needed.

• Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in information technology, with a focus on virtualized infrastructure.
• Previous teaching, training, coaching, or mentoring experience is strongly preferred
• Post-secondary education in a related field.

• Cisco Certified Instructor
• VMware Certified Instructor

Hourly Range: $35.99 - $45.55
