As RMA is a small dynamic company, the incumbent will be expected to be flexible in the role, however, primary responsibilities involve customer service and administrative support. The incumbent will also review, process and report incoming GAP and Loss of Employment claims. Knowledge and understanding of the company markets and products within, will be key. Ongoing communication with internal departments and external clients is expected. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Interact with customers, and all external clients, to understand and resolve general inquiries ensuring alignment with Service Level Agreements.

Offer outstanding customer service in a client service environment including satisfactory solutions to customer complaints.

Provide training, guidance, feedback, support, and inspiration to other Service Representatives.

Demonstrate knowledge of company products and principles of customer service.

Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, premium, refund and claims processing ensuring the efficient flow of business operations while adhering to reporting deadlines.

Review, validate and process claims on a day-to-day basis in alignment with Service Level Agreements and pertaining to claims philosophy and practices.

Liaise with claimants regularly and communicate fair and accurate determinations with an empathetic approach.

Develop a thorough understanding of each program and its mode of operations (i.e.. reporting formats, frequencies, etc.); act as a subject matter expert for assigned claims as well as operations processes and controls.

Actively seek enhancements and make recommendations for new processes to improve efficiencies or rectify inaccuracies and information gaps.

Effective file management for audit and compliance related functions



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED

5 years of experience in a customer service and/or claims analyst role, in the insurance industry

Fluently bilingual in French and English



CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

None



FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)

Ability to juggle multiple tasks with multiple stakeholders

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

AS400 knowledge
