Insurance Broker

• Assess potential institutional, business or
  individual client markets
  
• Calculate premiums
  
• Establish client insurance coverage
  
• Establish method of payment
  
• Identify potential markets
  
• Ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and
  other policy requirements are completed
  
• Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients'
  enquiries
  
• Provide customer service
  
• Provide information concerning group and individual
  insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy
  features
  
• Sell automobile, fire, health, life, property,
  marine, aircraft and other types of insurance
  

Requirements

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in any field.
  
• Must have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the same or a related field.​
  
• Must have Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario
  (RIBO) license.
  
• Experience
  in insurance, including property/casualty insurance, commercial insurance,
  individual insurance, and group insurance. Familiarity with automobile
  insurance, fire insurance, house insurance, tenant insurance, and travel
  insurance products is required.
  
• Must
  be bond -able and able to successfully pass a driving record check (abstract),
  credit check, and criminal record check.
  
• Must be willing to work in an office building setup.
  
• Must
  be willing to work under tight deadlines in a fast -paced environment and under
  pressure, with strong attention to detail, and be able to perform work
  involving sitting as well as a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  
• Must
  demonstrate strong personal suitability including client focus, efficient
  interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility,
  sound judgment, strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to
  work as a team player.
  
• Must be able to communicate in English.
  
• Must
  have access to own tools and equipment, including a computer, printer, internet
  access, and a cellular phone.
  
• Must
  have access to a personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to
  travel is required.
