We are currently seeking a Naval Architect or Naval Architectural Technologists with approximately 5+ years experience to join our dynamic team in Halifax, NS to support our ongoing projects in the marine and shipbuilding industries. We are looking for people who are passionate, collaborative and professional, and like us, think, “Ships are Cool”. 

The successful candidate may be working on a wide range of projects in the marine and offshore sectors, including projects related to decarbonization and electrification. Responsibilities include:

• Develop design and production drawings and 3D models for a wide range of projects. Work will include mostly structural, outfitting and possibly mechanical design.


• Conduct basic structural analysis of ship structures, utilizing classification society rules and first principle hand calculations, as it relates to Marine Structures.


• Carry out tasks related to assessment of Ship’s Stability, such as Weight Estimates, Lightship Surveys, conducting Inclining Experiments and producing Stability Booklets.


• Onsite inspections and surveys as required by the project.


• Project specification development and technical writing.


• Lead or grow into leading marine design projects 

Knowledge and Skills:

• Familiarization with ship Classification Society and Flag State Rules


• General knowledge of Shipbuilding, Construction and Repair.


• Knowledge of GHS and Rhino are desirable.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• AutoCAD proficiency essential.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma or Degree in Naval Architecture.
