Intermediate Architectural Technologist

Role description:

Join us as an Architectural Technologist in Calgary Architectural Practice. This role will expose you to working drawings ranging from mixed use, commercial, and residential high-rise buildings. You will be a part of the team that will support with design development, working drawings and detailing. The successful candidate will offer a robust portfolio of details and construction documents showing an array of projects and a holistic understanding of the design process. As the successful candidate, you will be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative detailing solutions. The successful candidate can work hybrid or a work-from-home office environment, but must be located within one hour from Calgary.

Role accountabilities:

• Prepare working drawings on a number of different projects using Revit


• Prepare documentation - design development, building permits and tender packages


• Coordinate the architectural and engineering disciplines along with external consultants to produce high quality and well coordinated documents for construction


• Support design and production teams

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma in Architectural Technology


• 2-7 years of experience in an architectural firm


• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills


• MUST be a proficient user of Revit and Microsoft Office software knowledge and experience


• Experience with project coordination and possess a strong ability to meet tight project deadlines


• Must submit a portfolio of work in PDF which is under 10MB or a web link to your portfolio site
