Intermediate Structural Engineer

Staffinity is seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer for a client located in the Windsor area.

This is a permanent position with an hourly rate, bonus, benefits, and RRSP matching. The hourly rate is $35-40 DOE, and overtime will be paid for anything over 44 hours per week. There will be regular local travel and 1 week away roughly every 6 months.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform structural analysis and design calculations.


2. Prepare detailed structural design drawings and specifications.


3. Perform hand calculations.


4. Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports.


5. Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.


6. Assist with project management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.


• Professional Engineer License preferred.


• 5+ years experience.


• 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.


• Strong AutoCAD skills.


• Experience with steel detailing software preferred.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.


• Familiar with Canadian and American Structural Engineering design standards and codes.


• Facilities engineering experience is a strong asset.


• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken.


• Highly motivated, with superb interpersonal and leadership skills.


• Able to manage several projects simultaneously.


• A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.


• Must be eligible to obtain a work permit in the United States.


• Be willing and able to cross the border for required support of US customers.
