Internal Only (Management) – Temporary Full-Time to March 31, 2027

Schedule: Monday – Friday (8:00 – 4:00), plus on call availability as required.

About the Position

The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day custodial operations at The Gathering Place and ensuring that all facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. The Supervisor provides direction and support to the custodial team, coordinates daily work assignments and schedules, monitors cleaning standards and supplies, and ensures workplace health and safety procedures are followed.

What You'll Do

• Provide day-to-day direction and support to custodial staff.


• Support the onboarding of new custodial employees through orientation, training, and ongoing guidance to custodial staff regarding cleaning procedures, equipment, products, and safety requirements.


• Develop and maintain effective cleaning routines and schedules for all areas, including high-traffic and high-touch spaces.


• Coordinate staff scheduling, shift coverage, and adjustments due to absences or changing operational needs.


• Monitor custodial supplies and equipment needs and coordinate applicable pickups and deliveries.


• Ensure equipment and work areas are properly maintained and used safely.


• Assist with custodial-related projects, inspections, and other operational requirements as needed.

What You Bring

• Minimum of 2 years of custodial experience, preferably in an institutional, community, or multi-site environment.


• Previous supervisory, leadership, or team coordination experience is preferred.


•  Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safe use of cleaning equipment and products.


• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities.


• Ability to provide clear direction, address concerns appropriately, and support a positive team environment.

Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
