Role And Responsibilities

We're looking for an junior Java developer with Java development experience and similar academic background.

They Will Be Responsible To

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications.
Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Identify and troubleshoot software defects and issues.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable university.
2-3 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
Solid understanding of Java programming language and its ecosystem.
Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Avalid Government of Canada Security Clearance is essential.

Preferred Skills:

Java Programming Language Proficiency.
Operating Systems: Windows, macOS, Linux, UNIX.
Programming Languages: Java, C/C++, Visual Basic.
Development Tools: Eclipse, Project Builder, CVS, Javadoc, Bugzilla, Ant.
Concepts and Methodologies: Product development lifecycle, prototyping, design patterns, UML, OOD, OOP.
Database and Object Persistence: RDBMS, MySQL, SQL, JDBC, LDAP, JNDI, Enterprise Objects Framework, XML.
Java API/Frameworks: QuickTime for Java, JMF, Applets, AWT/Swing (J2SE), Accessibility.
E-Learning: AICC, SCORM, LMS, LCMS.
Media Format Standards: GIF, PNG, JPEG, SVG, WMF, EMF, WAV, SMIL, QuickTime, Windows Media Real, Flash.
Multimedia Applications: Microsoft PowerPoint, Macromedia Director, and Flash.
