Position: Java Full Stack Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and data pipelines. This role involves working across the entire development lifecycle—from system design and coding to testing, deployment, and troubleshooting—while collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and expand data pipelines including extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
  


• Translate technical specifications into working, tested applications
  


• Develop detailed programming specifications and write high-quality code
  


• Perform unit testing and support application maintenance
  


• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across software systems
  


• Provide technical support during implementation, conversion, and migration phases
  


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC
  


• Design, build, test, and debug applications using structured methodologies
  


• Develop REST APIs and integrate front-end and back-end systems
  


• Ensure applications are scalable, performant, and secure
  


• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
  

Qualifications

General Skills

• Experience in programming, analysis, and application support
  


• Strong understanding of SDLC and structured development methodologies
  


• Experience with application design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting
  


• Ability to work with relational and hierarchical databases
  


• Experience with query languages and information retrieval tools
  


• Familiarity with communications protocols
  


• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills
  


• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills
  


• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively
  

Full Stack Technical Skills

• Proficiency in front-end and back-end development
  


• Experience designing and implementing complete web architectures
  


• Expertise in building scalable systems and RESTful APIs
  


• Integration of front-end UI with backend services
  


• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices
  


• Experience with database design and management
  

Core Technical Requirements (Must Have)

• Strong experience with Angular (v7+), JavaScript, TypeScript, NPM, RXJS
  


• Experience with Spring Framework (MVC, Security, JPA, Boot)
  


• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA
  


• Experience integrating commercial APIs (load balancing, resiliency, discovery)
  


• Experience with React
  


• 10+ years of:
  




• UI development (Angular, CSS, Agile methodologies)
  


• Java development
  


• Database development (Oracle and open-source databases)
  




• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, responsive design, and mobile development
  

Accessibility & Compliance

• 10+ years of experience building applications compliant with WCAG 2.0 and accessibility standards
  


• Working knowledge of AODA compliance requirements
  


• Experience using tools such as JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML5 accessibility features
  

Additional Technical Experience

• Experience with Java WebLogic, Tomcat, EJB, Servlets
  


• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server)
  


• Familiarity with SOAP and REST web services
  


• Experience with Azure DevOps, JIRA, Agile/Scrum methodologies
  


• Exposure to middleware, gateways, and system integration
  


• Experience in UX/UI principles and responsive design
  


• Ability to produce technical documentation and provide post-implementation support
  

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working in a public sector environment
