Journeyman, Automotive Mechanic

We are looking to hire a Journeyman, Automotive Mechanic to join our growing team in Slave Lake, Alberta

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide light vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs.


• Installation of new and added-on equipment.


• Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.


• Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.


• Ensure accurate completion of work orders and timecards.


• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.


• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work.


• Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.


• Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques.


• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations.


• Assist in preparing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules.


• Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.


• Perform other mechanical repair work as required.

Required Skills:

• Licensed Journeyman Automotive Mechanic.


• Red Seal Certification Preferred.


• At least 3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic.


• Experience working with commercial equipment, machinery and vehicles.


• Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract.


• Ability to work independently in a busy environment.


• Experience with routine maintenance operations.


• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.


• Effective communication skills - verbal and written.


• Able to work well under pressure.


• Computer literate.
