The Role
We are currently recruiting for experiencedJourneyman Pipefitters for a one month shutdown project at an oil and gas facility near Namao, Alberta. This is a live in plant role requiring previous shutdown and industrial site experience. Work will be performed in a fast-paced, safety focused environment. We are looking for people who are local to the Edmonton area, as there is no LOA for this project. The start date is April 28, 2025.
Compensation/Benefits
Can hire as a direct employee or as a *Direct Service Provider (DSP).
Competitive Wage.
Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours per day.
6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.
Benefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision, health, dental, paramedicals, travel
Long term disability, AD&D, life insurance, dependent life insurance
Weekly pay
*DSP’s - hourly wage only plus vehicle and insurance allowance; no overtime, benefits, vacation or stat holiday pay

Responsibilities/Duties
Execute shutdown work including disassembly, repair, installation and reassembly of piping systems (including torquing)
Rigging & lifting (critical lifts) around live lines and facilities.
Work closely with supervision and other trades to meet tight project deadlines
Maintain equipment
Interpret blueprints, isometrics and piping drawings
Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety protocols and project standards
Key Skills/Competencies
Previous shutdown experience is an asset
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Good attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Versatile and flexible - able to work in the field or on a project as needed
A motivated, self-starter
Takes pride in their workmanship; aims for a zero repair rate
Takes pride in safety, document control, lock-up procedures & preventative maintenance
Excellent english communication skills required
Able to follow directions
Performs well under pressure and tight deadlines
Experience/Education/Qualifications
Registered Journeyperson Pipefitter
Must have previous experience in a similar setting and industry
Must have the following safety tickets: H2S Alive and WHMIS 2015
May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test
Strong commitment to safety
Able to work long hours in a plant environment in all weather conditions
Class 5 driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract with reliable transportation to and from work
