Job Description

• Perform structural welding on commercial, industrial and agricultural construction sites


• Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures


• Operate equipment safely and efficiently


• Carry out ironwork and site preparation for precast wall panel installation


• Maintain and care for company welding rig (keep clean, organized, and in good working condition)


• Work effectively within a 3-5 person crew


• Assist in a variety of tasks that help the progress of the build


• Adapt to working outdoors in all weather conditions


• Take direction and closely collaborate with foremen and supervisors

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Applicants successful in the interview process will be asked to complete a pre-employment assessment as part of the final hiring process


• Hold CWB and a valid Journeyman welding ticket


• Previous structural steel welding experience


• Ability to weld in any position at various heights


• The ability to lift at least 50lbs and comfortable with heights with proper safety restraints


• Valid Class 5 license, acceptable driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation


• Valid Standard First Aid, Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform


• Available to work away from home Monday-Friday, occasional Saturday


• Minimum 44-50 hours per week, must be flexible and willing to work overtime


• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail


• Local to willing to relocate to Central Alberta

Assets

• Precast concrete construction experience


• Ironworker ticket


• CWB Welding Supervisor ticket
