Position Overview:
Finning Canada is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal preferred) to join our team in Victoria. Our Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry and marine equipment.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
- Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 Years)
- Solid experience with Transmissions and Hydraulic Testing is required
- Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions
- Engine and/or Component rebuilding experience
- Previous Gas Engine and Power Generation experience
Important Details:
- Must live in the Victoria, BC area or be willing to relocate
- Ability to wear a respirator
