Journeyperson Welder

Where will you work: Onsite – K2, Esterhazy, Saskatchewan

To carry out welding and maintenance duties safely and efficiently in an assigned area on an assigned shift. 

What you’ll do?

• Weld in all positions, using all welding processes and equipment, all metals used in the plant and fabricate according to print.

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment.

• Fabricate, repair and/or install chutes, pipes and structural steel members as needed to maintain the plant and production.

• Be proficient in the use of oxyacetylene cutting torches and cutting machines.

• Use all welding apparatus, and processes efficiently.

• Hoisting & rigging.

• Position mining equipment to complete repairs.

• Complete exams and task sheets on related equipment.

• Display full knowledge and use of drawings/prints/sketches and parts manual.

• Interpret and carry out written or oral instructions, and to make written reports as required.

• Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements.

• Obtain CWB certification as required.

• Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with.

What you’ll need:

• ​A recognized valid Journeyman Welders Certificate.

• Four years’ experience in the welding trade, two of which must have been in industry.

• The knowledge to safely use all hand and power tools required.
