Cigar Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s highest-grade uranium mine. The Role

Reporting to the process supervisor, your role will focus on ensuring the safe, effective and efficient operation of the Cigar Lake’s process areas. This entry-level role will provide you with the opportunity to learn and grow with Cigar Lake’s process team and is well suited for a motivated individual who wants to be involved in the day-to-day operations of the site. 

In this role, you will:

• Operate circuits as per outlined procedures and guidelines.


• Identify, document, and report any maintenance concerns.


• Assist senior operators as required.
  
  

Required:  

• grade 12 or equivalent;


• three to five years of mill or process operation work experience, preferably in the uranium industry;


• industrial water treatment experience;


• equivalent combination of education and experience considered;


• valid Class 5 driver’s license;


• ability to work independently and in a team environment;


• comfortable working on both surface and underground; and


• work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft.

Recommended:

• previous experience in an industrial workplace or uranium mill;


• potable water treatment level 1 and level 2 certification; and


• wastewater treatment level 1 certification.
