Burdock is a Brewery and Restaurant in Bloordale, now in its 9th year of operation. We are a small team of hospitality professionals who are dedicated to providing great service and making really good beer.
Burdock is looking to add a culinary leader to our kitchen team. Our kitchen is kind, welcoming, creative and passionate about food and the people we work with.
The Jr Sous chef will be responsible for assisting in leading our team in prep and service.
The Jr Sous chef will assist the chef and sous with ordering, cost control and the flow of service.
The Jr Sous chef will collaborate creatively on the menu and with recipe development.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years kitchen experience with a minimum of 1 years in a leadership role. We work as a team with all members supporting one another with prep, service, cleaning and washing dishes.
This is a full-time position with 4 day work week (35-40 hours a week)
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $23/hr plus portion of tip pool and a Health Spending Account (benefits) after 3 month probation period
