Junior Accountant

JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (Winnipeg, Manitoba)

As Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for accounts receivable functions and understanding the company’s business development program. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

* Prepare invoices and deposits. Make collections calls and update collection information in customer files

* Perform accounting functions required for various balance sheet accounts

* Apply payments to customer accounts if necessary

* Maintenance of rebate/discount programs and customer database

* Assist with month/year end reporting

* Other accounting duties as required



MUST HAVES:

* Post-secondary education in accounting or business

* 2+ years of accounting experience

* Working toward completion of CPA designation

* Eager to learn, grow and develop within a company

* Excellent customer service skills

* Strong problem-solving skills
