Junior AV Designer

Job Summary:

We're accepting applications for a Junior AV Designer to join our amazing AV Integration team. This position will be based out of our Calgary, Alberta office. In this role you will work with our Sr. AV Designers to update and complete accurate drawings, provide wiring schedules, rack layouts and markup architectural drawings. Experience and background in Audio Visual systems and equipment is definitely an asset.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with Sr. AV Designers to create, update, markup and complete drawings
  


• Collaborate with account managers, installers or technicians to complete drawings


• Review drawings for accuracy
  


• Assist with AV system designs for board rooms, conference rooms, training rooms, command centers, council halls and other institutional and commercial systems
  


• Assist in providing drawings, wiring schedules, rack layout, documentation
  
  

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification in AutoCAD (2D) or equivalent experience is required
  


• Ability to read architectural prints


• Attention to detail is required


• Preferred: knowledge of audio, video, and control systems as well as architectural and cabling requirements


• Preferred: design experience within the commercial audio/visual industry


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills


• Industry recognized training is an asset: Crestron, Biamp, Extron, QSC, Dante
