Job Description In the Junior Data Analyst Intern role, you will be an important part of the Data & Insights team to build a global multi-sourced data model and deploy web-based business intelligence tools to support the automation of reporting and insights to regional stakeholders and C-Suite executives. This role will liaise with stakeholders across the organization to map out business processes, promote the utilization of data to provide business insights for data-driven decision making and recommend solutions to enable the achievement of organizational goals.
This will be an intern position for up to 4 months, and you will be a contractor during the internship. You will report into the office 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include:
• To design, develop, maintain, and provide support for the roll-out of a data transformation program:
• Work with teams across departments and geographies to define use cases, map current processes, understand pain points, define data requirements to address pain points and identify success criteria
• Assist with mapping data from various business systems and perform data preparation techniques ensuring the integrity of the data from multiple sources
• Model & Test the acquired data, while ensuring the optimal delivery of reports within the constraints of the reporting environment
• Design innovative data visualization solutions which seamlessly facilitates data integration from multiple sources and allows for interactive and intuitive data exploration enabling end users to quickly find the information they need to make data driven decisions
• Manage user access, whilst upholding data security requirements
• Manage communications to end-users
• Provide training and support for end-users
-Proactively analyze data to answer key questions from stakeholders or out of self-initiated curiosity with an eye for what will drive business performance, through investigating and then communicating areas for improvement (to increase revenue, lift customer satisfaction or improve profitability)
-Support colleagues across the greater Customer Operations & Sales Operations organization with ad-hoc data analysis and projects - Involving interpreting various complex requests, processes and the data involved to generate insight and articulate key findings and recommendations
-Responsible for timely delivery, troubleshooting and identifying areas for improvement across multiple reporting workflows to provide senior management visibility into sales and customer services performance
Minimum Qualifications:
• Student pursuing a business or computer science degree
• Basic knowledge and experience working with Excel
• Must be comfortable with manipulating and drawing insights from large and unorganized datasets
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Naturally curious and strong attention to detail
• Motivated self-starter, proactive and result-oriented
Preferred:
• Basic knowledge and experience working with SQL
• Experience with designing and delivering Analytics based business transformation projects
• Experience working with Salesforce and sales related data
