JOB DESCRIPTION


We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join our team at the Mississauga facility. As a Junior Project Manager, you will work with our highly talented team to manage state-of-the-art and innovative projects for our customers.


ROLE & RESPONSIBILITES



  • Coordinate engineering projects from quotation through engineering, manufacturing, and completion.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables while monitoring project progress, identifying risks, escalating issues appropriately, and identify opportunities to improve project efficiency and delivery.

  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and other internal staff to support timely project delivery.

  • Serve as a primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle, managing inquiries, meetings, updates, and correspondence while communicating project timelines, deliverables and changes clearly and proactively to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between customers and engineering teams without independent technical design responsibility.

  • Identify scope creep, potential cost overruns, and impacts to project margins or timelines to support customer quotations, project estimates, and initial financial baselines.

  • Ensure component selections and requirements remain within approved Bill of Materials (BOM) and quoted limits.

  • Track shipping information, serial numbers, documentation, and other project deliverables.

  • Coordinate resolution of shipping, procurement, manufacturing, and other operational issues.

  • Apply project management principles to technical projects.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


This position will be compensated according to qualifications



  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0–3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, client/project administration, operations, or a related role.

  • CAPM, PMP, or other project management certification is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of Altium CAD software is considered an asset.

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronics design is considered an asset.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Proven ability to support projects from initiation through completion, including scheduling, tracking deliverables, monitoring budgets, maintaining documentation, and coordinating project activities.

  • Experience managing multiple projects or competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues before they affect project timelines or deliverables.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, technical staff, clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Ability to prepare project status reports, meeting materials, schedules, budgets, presentations, and other project documentation.

  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate issues to the Engineering Lead.

  • This role requires excellent communication, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
