We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior/ Intermediate Electrical Technologist to join our team in our St. John's office. Help us shape our work environment and our culture by working collaboratively with other design and construction professionals on challenging and exciting building projects, as part of our thriving St. John's Office. Through all stages of the design process, let your passion generate solutions for the benefit of our clients and environment.

A Electrical Technologist will work with a group of technicians, technologists, and engineering professionals within our Buildings Electrical team. The Electrical Technologist will be responsible for assisting with the drawings of electrical distribution systems for commercial and institutional buildings projects.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with senior project engineers, technologists, & project managers to ensure project deliverables are created on time and under budget;

• Preparing layouts of electrical building systems for commercial, healthcare, and public buildings

• Working closely with junior project engineer(s) to relay timelines and identify what information is required and when it is required;
• Performing Quantity take offs;
• Reviewing shop drawings;
• Answering RFI's;
• Coordinating design changes and issue site instruction sketches as required;
• Performing field observation reviews of the electrical aspects of projects.

Your Capabilities and Credentials:

• College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology;
• Be registered, or the ability to register as a Technologist; and
• Experience in the areas of lighting, low voltage distribution, fire alarm, security, and structured wiring systems would be considered an asset.
