The Junior Registered Fire Protection Technician is a Full-time Hourly position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assist Fire Alarm Technicians with weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections as required.


• Support service work and repairs on fire alarm systems under the supervision of Fire Alarm Technicians.


• Assist with Equipment Services Division shop-related duties as required.
  


• Inspect, test, maintain, and repair emergency lighting, extinguishers, and fire hoses.


• Deliver and pick up extinguishers, hoses, and other equipment or materials as needed.


• Participate in limited on-call rotations under supervision as training progresses.


• Other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications:

• CFAA Technician Registration or equivalent certification, is an asset.


• 1 plus year of experience in the fire alarm industry


• Excellent troubleshooting and possess a level of electronic skills.


• Knowledgeable on applicable codes and standards


• Knowledge of intercom and security systems an asset


• Good organizational skills


• Efficiency in computer skills


• Self-motivated with focus on customer care


• Clean drivers abstract and valid drivers license.
