POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the direction of the Supervisor of the Blood Tribe Youth Ranch, you will work with a team in the delivery of treatment based, residential programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individual and group support to youth in a treatment\-based residential setting, including case management and behaviour management.
  




• Develop, implement, and participate in structured and unstructured programming and daily activities.
  




• Liaise effectively with involved professionals and significant family members.
  




• Attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
  




• Maintain the residential facility, including cleaning and meal preparation as required.
  




• Complete accurate and timely documentation, including daily logs, intake reports, treatment plans, progress reports, summaries, and treatment team meeting minutes.
  




• Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and residential program standards.
  




• Maintain cooperative and professional working relationships with team members.
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Post\-secondary degree or diploma in Child and Youth Care or a related field.
  




• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  




• Successful completion of CYIM/CSIS check and Criminal Record Check.
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  




• Ability to develop, plan, and organize programming aligned with program goals and objectives.
  




• Knowledge of Blackfoot language and culture is considered an asset.
  




• Ability to work effectively in a team\-based residential environment.
  




• Knowledge of behaviour management and youth support practices.
  




• Sound judgment and decision\-making skills.
  




• Ability to build rapport with youth while maintaining professional boundaries.
  




• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
  




• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
  




• Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
