TELUS Health is looking for a Kinesiologist to join an amazing multi-disciplinary team in our Ottawa Centre.

Our Preventative Health Assessments include a comprehensive medical with a specialized physician and involves a range of procedures to evaluate for various health risks as well as assessing lifestyle factors. The Kinesiologists primary role is to conduct fitness testing as part of the Executive Health Assessment. In additional to our Executive Health Services, the clinician will support our Occupational health services conducting various testing protocols to help determine medical fitness for work.

Here’s how

As part of the team, you will be responsible for:

• Conduct functional movement screens


• Conduct occupational fitness testing following various protocols


• Complete Resting EKG’s


• Review patient files using an Electronic Medical Record System


• Provide patients with a written report, providing medical recommendations


• Confer professionally with medical personnel regarding abnormalities and results


• Explain procedures to patients and answer testing related questions


• Perform vision, spirometry, audio, drug testing, and other testing and clinic-related tasks as required


• Perform Exercise Stress Testing

Qualifications

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, or other related field


• Member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario


• Minimum 2-year experience as a clinical Kinesiologist


• Bilingualism in French and English


• Demonstrate strong skills in communication, interpersonal interaction, organization, and time management


• Multidisciplinary experience an asset (an asset)

Nice to have:

• Experience conducting stress EKG tests, monitor patient safety throughout the test, including using defibrillator when required


• Venipuncture
