Kinesiologist - Independent Contractor - Maple Ridge, BC

Located in the heart of Maple Ridge, CBI Health – Golden Ears is a community-based rehabilitation clinic providing a range of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, and rehabilitation services. Our multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to help clients recover from injury, improve their function, and achieve their personal and return-to-work goals.

The Golden Ears clinic has a strong focus on rehabilitation and is an approved WorkSafeBC provider for both Hand Therapy and Return-to-Work Support Services. This creates an exciting opportunity for clinicians to work with a diverse client population while gaining experience across both clinical rehabilitation and workplace-focused services.

As a Kinesiologist you will play an important role in supporting clients through our Hand Therapy program, including conducting job site visits and facilitating Gradual Return-to-Work (GRTW) planning and implementation. This may involve assessing the client’s functional abilities and workplace demands, identifying potential barriers, and working collaboratively with the client, employer, and clinical team to support a safe and successful return to work.

• Be responsible for the provision of one-on-one and group kinesiology exercise prescription


• Provide disability management coordination


• Complete functional assessments and associated reports


• Work with a client profile that can range from orthopedic injuries, chronic pain, to cognitive and/or mood related


• Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet the identified client needs


• Perform job site visits and design return to work plans

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

• You are a graduate of a recognized School of Kinesiology


• You are a registered member in good standing with the BCAK


• Experience within Return to Work and Job Site Visits as well as Chronic Pain clients 


• You are passionate about your profession and committed to ongoing professional development

Hourly Rate Range: $25.00-$35.00
