Kitchen Helper

Location: 2950 Convair Drive, Toronto, ON L5P 1A2

Wage Rate: $11.60 per hour, part time

Reporting to: Sous Chef/Production Manager

Schedule: Rotational Monday- Sunday, 3:00 PM Shift

Unionized: after 90 working shifts

Responsibilities:

• Basic food preparation skill
• Follow meal order specification and Gold Standards
• Complete documentation for food temperature control
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be self-motivated and a high energy individual
• Ability to do accurate routine work standing for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to multi task
• Ability to work in an environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, openness, honesty and mutual respect
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Attention to detail

• Basic knowledge of food handling procedures, food handler certificate is an asset
• HACCP processes and procedures is an asset
• Experience with high volume food preparation
• Ability to read and write in English
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be flexible with work schedule and hours, and adapt to schedule changes to accommodate operational requirements
