Job description

The Kitchen Hood Installer is a full-time position and is responsible for, but not limited to the following tasks:

Primary Accountabilities:
• Installation, service and repair of various types of pre-engineered fire suppression systems (Wet and Dry chemical mostly)
• Participate in the on-call rotation
• Perform semi-annual inspections of fire systems as required

Skills and Attributes:
• Good interpersonal skills with staff and customers, maintain a positive, friendly attitude
• Efficient and comfortable with technology and software applications
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely
• Ability to take direction and constructive criticism to learn and improve skillset
• Ability to work independently or as part of a crew.
• Comfortable working on busy construction sites 

Qualifications:
• Valid G class drivers’ license with a clean drivers abstract
• Past fire suppression systems experience ideal but willing to train
• Pipe threading experience an asset
• Working knowledge of Fire & Life Safety Codes, Standards and Fire System knowledge would be considered an asset
• Availability to work occasional night shifts and work out of town when required
•  Strong mechanical Aptitude
