Job Duties

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the landscape enhancements industry

• Take initiative and make sound decisions on the job site

• Operate construction equipment (excavators, skid steers, earth movers, etc.)

• Tackle a large-scale planting project (trees, shrubs, and green things galore — if you like working with plants, this one’s for you)

• Hands-on work with fence repairs, tree planting/cutting, hardscaping, mulch installation, and patio stone projects

• Handle the physical side of the job: lifting, climbing, bending, digging

• Assist with excavation, grading, layout, and general construction labour tasks

• Perform daily preventative maintenance on tools and equipment (a well-oiled shovel is a happy shovel)

• Comply with all company policies and safety regulations

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather (from blazing heat to “Canadian winter mode”)

This is a full-time, year-round position: landscaping in spring, summer, and fall, transitioning to snow/winter operations when the frost rolls in.
