Purpose

• Follow proper procedures when entering guest rooms.


• Take full rack to linen rooms on each floor of the Hotel.


• Bring empty linen racks to the Housekeeping Department.


• Replenish linen to ensure Room Attendants can complete their room assignments.


• Report any lost and found items to Manager on duty.


• Adhere to and comply with all safety regulations when handling hazardous materials according to the MDS.


• Safe effective use of equipment.


• Use only chemicals and safety equipment provided by the Hotel.


• Comply with all Hotel policies and procedures.


• 
  

  Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

• Should always conduct him/herself with a pleasant and helpful attitude towards guest, co-workers and managers.

Process Improvement/ Productivity

• Only in the absence of Housekeeping Midnight Runner will the Laundry Runner respond to guest calls and deliver items to rooms such as hair dryer and cots.


• Performs Housekeeping duties as required to balance the workload of the Department or to meet deadlines.


• Report deficiencies or broken equipment to Laundry/Housekeeping Management

Academic and Working Qualifications

Working Experience

• Previous experience working in a laundry facility is an asset.

Soft Skills

• Strong work ethic.


• Able to work effectively in a team environment.

Language

• Must be able to speak and understand English.

Physical Requirements

• Flexible in availability.


• Able to stand for long periods of time.


• Able to lift, bend and walk distances.


• Able to lift weights of up to 40 lbs/20kgs.
