Lead Carpenter - Francophone Mobility Program

• Bridge between craftsmen and management to maximize output and manage daily operations 

• Oversee prefab production workflows from drawings to finished assemblies 

• Play a key role in our long-term planning and overall operational success 

• Work collectively to improve shop/workflow systems, processes and policies 

• Actively communicate and collaborate with all team members 

• Shop-led production mindset vs site-led problem solving 

• Be a leader who creates constructive work environments through positive energy and teamwork 

• Assist with the development of schedules with the project management team to meet milestones and completion dates 

• Be highly organized with all facets of your daily activities at STW 

You will possess a background in project and people planning, as well as shop management. 

• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in varied settings 

• Minimum 4-year experience in Carpentry and/or Timber Framing, including affiliated certifications (red seal, journeyperson, or international equivalents). 

• Shop Lead, Crew Management or Foreman level experience. 

• A full range of skill from all facets of residential and commercial construction 

• Experience with mentoring junior carpenters 

• Strong communication skills with teammates, clientele and consultants 

• Experience with shop production 

• Creative problem-solving skills 

• Familiarity or aptitude with CAD and computer skills
