We are seeking a fulltime Lead Culvert / Bridge Inspector to lead a 2-person team to conduct detailed culvert inspection services throughout the province of New Brunswick. This position requires travel to all parts of New Brunswick, with overnight stays.  

The successful candidate will have the following: 

Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Must be a registered Civil Engineering Technician / Technologist.
  


• Minimum 2 years of culvert and/or bridge inspection experience required.
  


• Strong multi-tasking, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  


• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  


• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  


• Aptitude for independent work.
  


• Experience with hydraulic analysis is considered an asset.
  


• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is considered an asset.
  


• The following certifications will be considered assets; however, training will be provided for successful candidates who do not possess them:
  
  
  
  
  • OSIM (Ontario Structure Inspection Manual) 
    
  
  
  • WATCM (Work Area Traffic Control Manual)
    
  
  
  • Confined Space Awareness Training 
  
  
  
  

Main Duties:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

• Lead a 2-person team to complete detailed culvert inspection services throughout the province of New Brunswick
  


• Use supplied laptop and software to record inspection findings
  


• Schedule work weeks that include travel and overnight stays
  


• Meet periodically with client to discuss ongoing inspections
  


• Collaborate with our Water Resources group to complete hydraulic analysis reports

Position:

• Full time (37.5 hours per week)
  


• This is a physically demanding role. Traversing steep slopes and walking on rough terrain required
  


• The position will be based out of Fredericton, NB
  


• Must have a valid driver’s license.
