About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing aerospace engineering firm based in Montreal, specializing in aircraft interior modifications, retrofit programs, and STC-certified engineering solutions.

With a highly technical and agile team of approximately 25 employees, they support complex aftermarket aircraft programs across cabin reconfiguration, interior upgrades, and certified design changes.

They are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to own design execution, technical decisions, and project delivery across multiple aircraft interior modification programs.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior aerospace mechanical engineer who enjoys combining hands-on technical depth with team leadership in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

    • detailed 2D drawing packages
    • engineering changes / ECNs
    • release documentation
  • Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace and certification standards
  • Partner closely with:
    • STC / certification teams
    • production and shop floor teams
    • suppliers
    • customers
  • Support project planning, prioritization, and execution in a collaborative small-team environment

What You Bring

  • 7–12+ years of experience in aerospace mechanical design
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • aircraft interiors
    • cabin monuments
    • galleys
    • lavatories
    • retrofit / modification programs
  • Proven experience working in STC (Supplemental Type Certificate) environments
  • Advanced CATIA V5 expertise (must-have)
  • Strong capability in:
    • 3D modeling
    • detailed drawing creation
    • design package release
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • own technical decisions
    • mentor engineers/designers
    • lead project design scope independently
  • Experience delivering full design packages end-to-end, not only partial subsystem work

Why Join

  • High-ownership leadership role with direct technical influence
  • Canada-remote flexibility with only occasional Montreal travel
  • Tight-knit aerospace engineering team with strong collaboration
  • Exposure to certified aircraft interior programs and visible project impact
  • 4 weeks vacation
  • Fully paid insurance benefits
  • Flexible work environment
  • Long-term growth as the team continues to scale
