Profile
This job description outlines the responsibilities and skills required for a Lead MERN Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on backend development. The role encompasses the design and implementation of both front-end and back-end components, ensuring the successful delivery of scalable and high-performing web applications using the MERN technology stack.
Keys are: Web Development, leadership, code reviews, MERN Stack (Mongo DB, Express, React Js (Strong), Node JS).

Responsibilities:
This person should have enough hands on experience to do 50% hands on coding and 50% time should be spent on all code reviews for both front end and back end components. The individual will be responsible for all Pull request (PR) reviews and will need to ensure good coding standards are met for both UI components and backend services . Where they are not met, he/she will need to define the right implementation for the developer who submits the PR.
Design and develop full-stack web applications using the MERN (MongoDB, Express.js, React JS (Strong skills), Node.js) stack.
Collaborate with the front-end and UX/UI design teams to implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
Architect and implement scalable and efficient server-side components using Node.js and Express.js.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices to support front-end functionality.
Design and maintain MongoDB database schemas, indexes, and data access layers.
Implement user authentication and authorization systems using industry best practices and security protocols.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, performance, and scalability.
Write clean, modular, and maintainable code for both front-end and back-end components.
Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
Stay updated with the latest backend technologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience is required.
Proven experience as a MERN Stack Developer with a focus on React.js
Frontend experience- React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Micro frontend design must be strong mean while only UX/UI Design knowledge should be fine.
Backend experience- JavaScript, Typescript should be strong meanwhile just knowledge of Nest.js, Microservices design pattern and Distributed systems should be good.
Cloud Infrastructure Experience- Docker, Kubernates and Helm should be strong and exposure of Openshift along with a little knowledge on AWS cloud and MS Azure.
Tech Delivery Experience- Strong experience on CI/CD pipelines along with the knowledge on Jira and Scaled Agile should be fine.

Tech stack is:
React frontend
NodeJS middle layer
Mongo backend – may also introduce a distributed cache such as Redis at some point

Tools/ Technologies Used- Knowledge on Kafka and MongoDB is good.
Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
Strong expertise in server-side development using Node.js, Express.js, and related backend technologies.
In-depth understanding of database technologies, particularly MongoDB, and experience with data modelling and optimization.
Knowledge of RESTful web services and API development, including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git and agile development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
