Job Description - Lead Prod Supervsor II CN

Essential Functions:  


 



  • Lead daily production operations across multiple lines, areas, and/or shifts to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals. 



  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance management for Production Supervisors and Production Teams. 



  • Monitor key operational metrics and implement corrective actions to improve performance. 



  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines. 



  • Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet production demands. 



  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Materials teams to resolve operational issues. 



  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, and waste elimination. 



  • Support employee development, training, and succession planning efforts. 



  • Assist in the implementation of new processes, equipment, and operational strategies. 



  • Communicate production performance, challenges, and opportunities to plant leadership.

Qualifications Required:  


 



  • High school diploma or GED required. 



  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred. 



  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience. 



  • 2–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a production environment. 



  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning. 



  • Experience leading supervisors or multiple production teams. 



  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. 



  • Proficiency with ERP, MES, and Microsoft Office applications. 


 


Qualifications Desired:  


 



  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification. 



  • Multi-shift manufacturing leadership experience.  



  • Experience in automotive and/or glass manufacturing.  


 


Other Requirements:  


 



  • Ability to work within a manufacturing environment. 



  • Ability to stand and walk throughout production areas for extended periods. 



  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. 



  • Ability to wear required PPE and comply with plant safety requirements.
