LEASE/OWNER OPERATOR

Vertex is currently accepting applications for experienced Lease/Owner Operators to support operations in the Dawson Creek, BC area. If you are a safety-focused professional with fluid hauling experience and a commitment to delivering exceptional service, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications 

• Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence 

• Clean Driver's Abstract (current within the last 30 days) 

• Minimum of 2 years of tank truck/fluid hauling experience preferred 

• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance 

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills 

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment 

• Experience working in industrial, environmental, or oilfield settings is considered an asset 

Key Responsibilities 

• Operate and maintain your equipment in a safe, professional, and efficient manner 


• 
  Must own and operate a suitable tractor and fluid-hauling trailer that meets all applicable regulatory, safety, and operational requirements
  

• Adhere to all Vertex, client, provincial, and federal safety policies, procedures, and regulations 

• Participate in daily safety activities including FLRAs, hazard assessments, pre-trip and post-trip inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings 

• Work collaboratively with customers, contractors, dispatch personnel, and fellow team members 

• Ensure all mandatory training, certifications, and safety requirements remain current 

• Complete routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment cleanliness, reliability, and compliance 

• Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork and documentation, including daily logs, manifests, and inspection reports 

• Maintain compliance with applicable transportation, environmental, and operational regulations 

• Travel to customer sites and work in various weather and site conditions 

• Support operational requirements that may include fluctuating schedules, emergency response work, and peak workload periods 

• Safely handle and lift tools, equipment, and materials as
