Legal Counsel

Our team has an immediate permanent opening for a Legal Counsel.

Responsibilities:

• Provide efficient and knowledgeable legal support to the business;
• Drafting, review and negotiate various types of contracts, including but not limited to procurement agreements, leases, research and development agreements, services agreements;
• Advise internal business teams on legal issues, including but not limited to employment matters, corporate governance, intellectual property, compliance, risk management, etc.;
• Provide legal advice and support on litigation, settlement and dispute resolution;
• Keep track of legislative development, and maintain resources of external counsels.

What you'll bring to the team:

• Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized university;


• Member of the Quebec bar;


• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a law firm and/ within an in-house legal department, specializing in general corporate and commercial law matters;


• Strong negotiations, drafting and communication skills;


• Bilingual in English and French, both verbally and in writing.
