The School of Health and Public Safety at SAIT prepares students for a dynamic career in the health care sector. We offer specialized training in diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, professional assistant programs, information management, and training for wellness professionals. Our programs are hands on, with students and instructors immersed in living classrooms and simulated training.
The Opportunity
The School of Health & Public Safety at SAIT requires an energetic and resourceful individual with great organizational and team work skills to set up laboratories used for student instruction in the Respiratory Therapy and Paramedicine Programs. The applicant must have a general understanding of health professional training programs. The applicant must also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and thrive in a team environment.
Moderate to advanced level of computer skills such as the ability to use Banner, word processing, Excel, the internet and communication software is strongly recommended. Additional educational qualifications are an asset. The applicants must have a somewhat flexible schedule to accommodate the program timetables. The applicant must have a strong ability to negotiate and to work with suppliers and vendors and with other SAIT personnel for purchasing and work with internal personnel in shipping and receiving.
Please Note: The Salary will be based on 0.8 FTE.
