We are currently seeking a Litigation Resource Assistant (Float) to join our busy Litigation group in our Calgary office. This full-time role provides flexible legal administrative support across the Litigation team, assisting lawyers and legal assistants as needed to ensure seamless workflow and coverage.
Standard Responsibilities:
Prepare and draft correspondence and legal documents
Enter time, support billing processes, and prepare expense reports
Maintain efficient file management and bring-forward systems for lawyers
Manage calendars, emails, and day-to-day practice support for lawyers
Liaise with legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, and clients regarding file progress
Perform general administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
Hold a Legal Administrative Assistant certification from an accredited institution (preferred)
Previous administrative experience in a legal or professional services environment is an asset
Regulatory experience in Alberta is an asset.
Demonstrate a forward-thinking approach with exceptional attention to detail
Work effectively both independently and as part of a collegial team
Maintain a high level of organization and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Apply strong technical skills and communicate clearly in both written and verbal contexts
Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a positive, can-do attitude
