LPG & Petrochemical Marketing Analyst

In this role, you will analyze monthly data for management reporting purposes, manage detailed supply and demand models to support
Suncor’s LPG and Petrochemicals Marketing teams, interact with key internal and external stakeholders across multiple business functions, and gain an understanding of market opportunities to maximize our value chain. This is an excellent opportunity in ST&O for those looking to gain exposure to broader oil and gas market fundamentals, logistics and/or analytics.

Minimum Requirements:

Two years of related Oil and Gas industry experience

Post-secondary education in business administration, economics or engineering

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills

Strong collaboration skills that enable you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups across multiple business functions and geographies

Responsibilities:

Prepare, support and analyze daily/monthly sales, PnL and stewardship reports for a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Develop, maintain and analyze supply and demand models for various North American LPG markets to support the development of market viewpoints for the LPG Marketers, as well as manage a variety of LPG pricing models

Participate in the short and long term planning processes with all four of Suncor’s refineries and understand key variances to plan each week/month

Track and record a variety of North American rack prices to support Suncor’s position in various markets.

Support the submission, tracking, and adjustments to monthly pipeline and cavern nominations in various Canadian markets.

Support LPG and Petrochemical schedulers with nominations and scheduling activities.

Coordinate with multiple cross functional teams to measure and align the results of key Co-led trading strategies in the LPG Marketing team

Coordinate with multiple cross functional team to measure and align result of Petrochemical marketing business

Support the entry and weekly tracking of interbook and intercompany trades.

Participate in ad-hoc projects to support operational events or business development opportunities

Location and other Key Details:

This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.

Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.

Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work.
