MACP Practicum

Are you a MACP student looking to gain valuable clinical experiences in mental health counselling?

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting client assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Participate in individual and/or group counselling sessions
• Document client progress
• Attend team meeting for case discussions, sharing insights, and/or observations.
• Assist in conducting client assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in or completion of a Master’s degree program in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with CRPO is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic understanding of mental health concepts and therapeutic techniques
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative.

Job Type: Internship / Co-op

Contract length: 8 months

Work Location: Remote

• Currently enrolled in MACP program
• Individuals residing in Ontario: Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with CRPO is required.
