Maintenance & AV Technician

Job Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the exhibit and any facility issues with guidance and direction from the Head Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities:
During the Production period, will be available to work with different departments, learning relevant information to run, maintain and troubleshoot the exhibit, including decking, lights, audio, network, cameras, video and carpentry.

During Operations:

• Perform daily maintenance checks to ensure the smooth running of all elements of experience


• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise, escalating to Remote Support as needed.


• Perform small repairs and troubleshoot areas in which training was provided during set up: decking, lights, audio, network, cameras, video and carpentry


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment


• Responsible for ensuring the exhibit is in the same condition at load-out as when it was delivered.


• Observe and correct any operation staff who are not using the correct approach/procedure.


• Responsible for ensuring the daily closing report is prepared and sent to site management & Technical Manager.


• Responsible for company assets including tools and equipment, ensuring they are used and stored to maintain their integrity.

• Manages weather events around site ensuring easy access for staff and deliveries.


• Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work evenings and weekends, and holidays.


• Handy technician with experience in lights, sound and video. including system integration


• Handyman capabilities for small repairs


• License to drive scissor lift


• Experience with ladders and small scaffolding


• Preference to someone with experience in small rental company with show business.


• Basic knowledge of computers


• Good communication skills and team spirit


• Able to lift 20lbs, able to stand and walk for 70% of shift.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $39,000.00-$45,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week

• Evening shift


• Every Weekend


• Monday to Friday
