Maintenance Coordinator

Our Maintenance team supports the business 24/7 by ensuring that Loewen facilities, equipment, and tools are operating at their optimal performance. We work in a fast-paced environment, making teamwork essential to successful completion of our task and achieving a high degree of customer service support and satisfaction.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

In this role, you will:

• Respond to customer’s maintenance requests and dispatch the appropriate trade ensuring expedited repair service to plant operations as needed.


• Assist the department Team Lead and Planner as necessary


• Perform data entry, create purchase requisitions, process labor transactions and trades time keeping, and maintain records for all repair work orders and ensure accurate data and parts usage is recorded.


• Ensure adequate stores department stock levels are maintained, reviewed and conduct periodic cycle counts


• Provide vacation / coverage relief to Stores Attendant and Material Specialist


• Administer the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program – generate and distribute PM work orders, and ensure all records and reporting is completed accurately


• Perform monthly department CI audits


• Maintain Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) ensuring the maintenance department complies with review dates and training requirements


• Maintain cleanliness of work area and lunchroom

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.


• Valid driver's license with a reliable means of transportation as required


• Ability to frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs


• Reliability with absenteeism record less than 5% in the last three-month period)


• Experience working in a maintenance, repair, or customer service role is a definite asset
