About the role
The North East Link Project is a significant PPP venture which will require Ventia to perform operations, maintenance, and lifecycle services for a 25-year contract term.

Ventia’s North East Link project are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join the team during the construction period (pre-operational phase) and to be involved implementing the mobilisation and operational readiness activities, including developing maintenance strategies, assisting in the development of the Asset Management System, developing processes and procedures related to the maintenance of assets.

We are offering:

• Work close to home, with location in Abbotsford during construction and then relocating to the future Motorway Control Centre in Bulleen.

 
Pre-operations Duties:

• Provide input and support the development of the Asset Management System.
• Review and provide design input to optimise the maintenance services.
• Build the maintenance team consisting of supervisory, electrical, mechanical and road maintenance teams.
• Develop maintenance manuals, procedures, plans and processes, rosters, plant and equipment requirements.
• Perform assigned duties as per the Mobilisation and Operational Readiness Plan.

 
Duties (Operations Phase):

• Management of the maintenance team in the delivery of planned and corrective maintenance tasks to meet the Code of Maintenance Standard. 
• Identifying opportunities and improvements in maintenance practices to result in the improvement of service to North East Link customers.
• Provide guidance, development, mentoring and coaching to maintenance team members. 
• Actively monitoring delivery of maintenance activities against schedule and budget. 
• Strive to continuously improve the process and systems through a consultative and team-focused approach.
• Create awareness of and consistently drive messaging around the importance of the health and wellbeing of maintenance staff and subcontractors.
• Assist with the scheduling, monitoring and set up of all planned traffic road and lane closures for maintenance works and asset repairs.
• Liaise with Traffic Operations and Incident Response team members to assist with key services deliverables.

 
About You

• Experience in managing a multidisciplined maintenance team.
• Experience in the operation of asset maintenance systems.
• Fully understand the requirements of the relevant OH&S and traffic / road rules legislation, in particular, the duties and responsibilities.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia (citizenship or visa sponsorship).
